Talal Al-Khaled: Kuwait Petroleum Corporation Conducted a Mock Training to get to know Concerned Agencies' Extent of Preparedness

Within the framework of readiness to handle crises that might arise in the oil sector and to raise the standard of concerned agencies' readiness, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation in cooperation with the General Directorate of Fire Service and General Directorate of Civil Defense conducted field mock training for crisis management in the oil sector.

The training began at eight o'clock on Sunday morning, May 31, 2015, after receiving information of several bombings at a number of oil companies. The team activated Crises Room and all leaders of the oil sector attended to witness the incident and devise strategic solutions to overcome the crisis of having three explosions at different parts of the oil sector companies.

On activating the Crisis Room, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Sabah spokesman of the oil sector, said "KPC in an effort to measure the extent of preparedness of its concerned agencies to face any terrorist attacks that may be suffered by the oil sector, conducted a mock training using a unified scenario in cooperation with the General Directorate of Fire Service and General Directorate of Civil Defense".

The spokesman of the oil sector assured the citizens and residents of Kuwait and also sent a message of reassurance to the international oil markets that oil supplies are on the run according to prescheduled timings and that KPC provides local markets with their demands of oil and oil derivatives.
