Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) launched the first phase of the HR Services Automation Project with the objective of coping with the technological advancement. This phase provides staff members with the opportunity to issue the formal certificates, i.e., Salary, To Whom it May Concern and other Certificates both in Arabic and English languages, without having to check with the Human Resources and Career Development Group.

On this occasion, KOTC held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the company’s main office where Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled cut the ribbon in the presence of Khalid Al-Quod - Deputy CEO for Financial and Administrative Affairs; Ali Al-Ghorbah – Deputy General Director at the Public Authority for Civil Information; Khalil Ibrahim – Diyar United Trading and Contracting Company; as well as KOTC Group Heads.

During the event, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled delivered a speech highlighting that KOTC always takes the initiative to execute many projects including the present one. He added that the HR Services Automation Project was the first of its kind in Kuwait as it had international technical specifications that had not been applied in Kuwait before. He indicated that the new services introduced by KOTC to its employees through the present project would contribute to saving the time and effort, particularly for employees working outside the liquefied gas packing factory at Shuaiba, Umm Al Aish and Marine Agency Branch who would be having the relevant devices available even during holidays.

Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled explained that, as part of the principle of partnership and cooperation among various governmental bodies to develop the electronic services nation-wide, the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) played a significant role with the KOTC to execute the first phase of the project. He pointed out that PACI had provided a team to work within the main office of KOTC. The team could accomplish the electronic signature project for all staff members within the pre-set timeframe, whereby the Civil Card would be used as a safe electronic ID to identify the person who uses such devices.

He added that other entities had contributed to the fulfillment of such project, including Diyar United Trading and Contracting Company that had streamlined the communication and coordination processes between KOTC and the competent functions within PACI, and exerted sincere efforts in accomplishing the first phase as per the approved action plan.

Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled indicated that the second phase of the project, expected to be accomplished in next June, would include the activation of two new functions for the staff members, i.e., update of personal information and submission of leave requests, with the ability to attach the documents required for processing such requests.

In conclusion, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled thanked the PACI, Diyar United Trading and Contracting Company, and KOTC’s team, reporting to both IT and Communication Group and HR & Career Development Group, for their meritorious efforts exerted to accomplish that project that would serve all KOTC staff members. In addition, he wished everybody success and prosperity.
